Description
Offshore Legal has been approached by a major client in the Cayman Islands to source a ‘Director of Finance and Operations’. The successful candidate will be based in the beautiful Cayman Islands, however, the role will have a truly international scope, requiring intermittent travel to other offices as/when required.
As the role suggests, main responsibility will be overseeing the finance and operations function of the business. Principal areas of management will be; Strategy & Planning, Financial Accounting & Reporting, IT, Risk Management, Office Admin and Culture/Leadership. Whilst not expected to be an expert in all these areas, being able to demonstrate prior experience/exposure to each and ultimately the ability to drive each department (and its staff) forward will be important.
Candidates will have a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree, but ideally a CA/CPA, Legal Qualification/Admission, MBA or other advanced degree. Most importantly though is the requirement that candidates have direct experience in similar roles at major law or accountancy firms, with a minimum of 200+ plus people across one or multiple offices.
