Offshore Legal has been instructed by a major client to source an experienced Wills & Estates Associate for their Private Client/Trust in Bermuda.

The successful candidate will have between 6-11 years PQE and will be able to walk into a busy practice and work relatively autonomously.

Key Responsibilities:

• Working with a broad range of local and international clients in the area of wills and estates, living wills, power of attorney, testamentary trusts and succession advice
• Experience with advising executors, trustees and beneficiaries on all legal issues arising in wills and administration of estates and trust both domestic and internationally.
• Responsibility for instituting and completing probate applications
• Overseeing the administration of estates
• Drafting of related legal documentation

Job Requirements:

• Demonstrate a minimum of 5 years relevant post qualification experience
• High degree of knowledge/experience in International Trust and Estate Planning and Probate
• Ability to liaise with others within the Trust and Private Client Department
• Ability to communicate effectively with local and overseas clients, international tax attorneys and other advisers
